Utilizes our proprietary internal compression spring and counter set stainless steel fastener, made 100% in Utah, USA, makes controlling and safely releasing fish easier. The Special Blend is our best selling Lippa4Life and a great way for anglers to try "lipping" and controlling fish in the water rather than netting, manhandling, or beaching the fish. It is an easy tool to use, and a simple concept - control the fish in the water by its jaw, remove the hook, and release the fish in the water. The same Brown trout that destroyed your 4" streamer to get hooked in the jaw in the first place does not mind the lippas holding it in the water, and it definitely does not get hurt.
The most unnerving aspect of "lipping" fish is at the initial point of contact IF the fish thrashes its head side to side. This doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it can be a little stressful. Some anglers panic and let go of the lippa altogether, others squeeze the handles harder, and some just jump back. The best method is to maintain pressure on the handles and push the fish entirely underwater until it chills out. Once the fish gets over the initial freak out and realizes something is holding it in the water, and not wanting to lift it out of the water they seem to relax. It is at this time when it is easy to remove the hook, and then simply release pressure on the Lippas to let the fish swim away - never having been out of the water!

That's right, come here any time of the year and get free shipping on anything, big or small. As long as you're in the lower 48 United States you're good to go. Please don't select it though if you're in a hurry, or need it for a trip in like two days. We do have some of the best expedited shipping rates out there too. We do quote 6-8 business days for our free shipping. Sometimes it gets there sooner, sometimes it takes the full 8 business days. Enjoy!

United States shipping: The Standard Flat Rate Shipping price is for shipping in the United States (the "lower 48" only). Delivery time is 6 to 8 business days. When you checkout, you will have an opportunity to upgrade your shipping. Express will be sent either USPS Priority or FedEx and should arrive in 3 business days or faster. FedEx Overnight and Second Day services are also offered.
For shipping to a PO BOX, military APO/FPO, Alaska, Hawaii, or any US possession (such as Puerto Rico or Guam), we can only use USPS Priority Mail. The free shipping option does not apply in these cases. The shipping fee is the USPS Priority Mail price listed in the shipping tab for the specific item.
Canadian and International shipping: FedEx Express is an air service with no brokerage fees. As the buyer, you are responsible to pay for all customs and duties. These charges are not included in the shipping price and they are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid upon delivery. Charges to clear your customs office for taxes and other charges are the responsibility of the buyer. These charges are beyond our control and vary by country. Please call your local customs office for more information. Also, some international locations are in a remote area and the standard international shipping charges will not cover the shipping expenses. We may need to contact you for additional shipping fees if you live in a remote area.
