Lowepro Pro Messenger 180 AW "Needed the size for my expanded arsenal" 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Contest winner

Pros: Durable,"Heavy Duty Strap","Customizable","Discreat","Spacious"

Cons: "None"

Best Uses :Travel,Daily Transport,"Multiple Pieces Of Gear"

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments:I swear by LowePro products, and when I was in the market for something bigger when my gear outgrew my bag the Pro-Messenger 180AW was perfect for me. The standard LowePro Messengers were still too small for me so I looked into the PRO messengers. The Pro-Messenger 180 is in the middle and is the Goldy Locks of the bunch. Its just the right size for my current gear with room to expand should and when I get more. Also the great thing is its lighweight enough to carry just a few things with the space to accomodate when needed. With cam bags its always better to have more space than to run out. The strap has a very sturdy and good feel, and the bag material is Pro stuff. I wanted a bag that didn't stand out in a crowd with a low-key color and the bag color is perfect. The compartments are fully adjustable to suit any of my gear needs.

Service: Delivery was very prompt and arrived when expected. Product was is new condition.

Lowepro Video Fastpack 250 AW " Finally a video bag with space for more!" 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Contest winner

Pros: Comfortable,Strong Construction,Easily Accessible Equipment,Roomy,Adjustable Harness

Best Uses :Storing Gear,Transporting Gear,Protecting Gear

Describe Yourself:Photography Student

Was this a gift?: Yes

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: I've researched many, many bags after buying my new Canon 60D, as I want a bag that not only has great gear space (not too small, not too large, size for camera body, 2 or 3 lenses, peripherals), but also some space left-over for day hiking needs. I'm a dad and love being out in nature with my family. Most bags I looked at were awesome for photo needs, but left you with enough space for a bag of peanuts... I wanted a bit more space for an extra rain jacket, kids' waterbottle, etc., and this bag has a nice spacious upper section that is isolated from the bottom camera space. The fact that is the side entrance for quick camera grab and that it also has a 15" laptop section made it the easy choice for this traveling/hiking dad and photo student as well.

Comments: Purchaced the 170 for my son's new Canon Powershot SX40 HS. Holds the camera, computer cables, instruction manual, filters and 2 bottles of water in the side pouches. This is a great bag for his travels to protect his camera when he goes to Paintball practice or matches. The orange color inside helps him find the hard to spot little items. Great bag! He really enjoys it.

Comments: This strap from Lowepro is a great upgrade from the stock strap. It is well made, comfortable, and fully adjustable. I have taken it on long hikes and it is very light and barely noticeable. I had done some research on other straps and the selling feature for me was the Quick Release system. You cant go wrong with the Lowepro Transporter Strap.

Comments: I am reluctant to order online important fishing items. Its hard to tell from pictures how good a product will be. When I received the Bighorn Kit bag I was satisfied in every way how well I could see it would perform for me as my main fly fishing storage bag. The best thing about it is the fully opening top to get at all my fly boxes with ease. What a great product Fishpond has produced. I am going to enjoy it on many outings this summer and many to come as it will organize all my junk perfectly!

Lowepro Event Messenger 150 " Great product, great seller" 5 out of 5 stars

Contest winner

Pros: Durable,Lightweight,Compact,Comfortable Strap,Good Protection

Best Uses : Daily Transport,Travel

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: This is a great product. I was looking for a bag that didn't scream "camera bag". I was debating between this one and the exchange messenger, but this one has more padding, it will protect my gear better. I also like the "quiet" position for the velcro. This product is not too big, looks good, offers good protection. I am very happy with it. Besides, the price from AvidMax Outfitters is great, about half price as the street price. The only thing I'd like better maybe is that the top of the bag would be more flexible with less padding, it would shape better I think, now, it's a little bit too boxy.

Service: AvidMax Outfitters is great, they offered the best price, the shipping was very fast (I think they ship a few hours after I placed my order). Item is new condition, as expected. It's the first time I bought an item from them, but probably not the last time, I will not hesitate to buy from them again.

Comments: I use individual Lowepro lens cases for all of my lenses. They are tastefully and intelligently designed and constructed. I pack each one with a moisture absorbing desiccant and they are always ready to attach to either side of my slim profile Lowepro camera bag that tucks snugly in the saddlebags of my motorcycle where nothing else would fit well. This setup provides me with unlimited versitility and among the best protection possible, not to mention the 'no-nonsense' styling.

Lowepro Photo Sport 200 Backpack " Great bag with good retention" 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Contest winner

Pros: Adjustable Harness,Easily Accessible Equipment

Cons: "Pricey"

Best Uses : Protecting Gear,Transporting Gear,"Active sports"

Describe Yourself: Pro Photographer

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: Fit and finish are good. Nice padding for camera. Easily held my Nikon D7000 with a 24~120 f4 AF VR lens w hood and SB-600 flash in the padded camera compartment. Don't store small items in the top main compartment, it's open around the lower camera compartment so small items migrate to the bottom of the bag and you have to search them out. Lots of other areas to store small things. You can roll a hooded rain jacket and slide it in next to the camera compartment with room for another lens. Would be nice to have a clip to hold the chest strap when not in use so it's not flipping around but not a big deal.

Service: AvidMax sent me a shipping notice shortly after I ordered it. I ordered it really early east coast time and assumed they wouldn't open for hours but somebody was there in the wee morning hours shipping bags. Their price was the best I found for this product.

Lowepro Nova 190 AW Shoulder Bag " Great medium size bag " 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Contest winner

Pros: Durable,Lightweight,Good Protection

Best Uses : Travel,Daily Transport

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: This is our third Lowepro Nova camera bag (also use a 180 & 200 in the series). Very high quality, it's sized well for a pro dslr body, 3 to 4 lenses, & all the bits & accessories most photo enthusiasts need for a typical day of shooting. There are plenty of padded dividers, well configured right out of the box for most users, and the rain protection works well & is easy to use (but requires use of the shoulder strap for carrying). Perhaps I'm biased, since I've used a variety of Lowe products for over 20 years, but considering that we're leaving for the Contential Divide this morning via rough jeep trails for a photo shoot with several thousand dollars worth of camera gear, I'm perfectly confident the 190 is up to the challenge. Would write more, but it's time to load up.

Service: Very fast shipping.

Joby Focus and Ballhead Flexible Tripod " More Than Your Average Tripod. " 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Pros: Lightweight,Good Footing,Compact,Easily Adjusted

Best Uses : Sports/Action,Portraits,Home,Landscape/Scenery,Travel,Outdoors

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: This Joby Gorilla Pod is a small tripod with endless potential. It goes places other tripods simply can't, and the uses are limited only by the photographer's imagination. You don't need solid ground to use the Gorilla Pod. I've wrapped it's easily bendable legs around the rails of a rocking boat to take a timed photo of myself and family. I attached it to the Golden Gate Bridge, where the width of the pedestrian path would not have allowed for a standard tripod. With the Gorilla Pod gripping my bicycle handle bars, I was able to keep my camera at the ready throughout my adventure without fear of dropping it from my hands. The strangest thing I ever hooked this device to was a Saguaro cactus, which gave me just the height I needed to shoot over a fence. Once I get the Gorilla Pod in place, a simple twist of the ballhead lines up the shot, and I'm ready to go. The camera is kept steady and shake free with the secure grip of the Gorilla Pod, and the results are just what I am looking for. The only drawback is occasionaly the weight of a heavy camera requires a bit of extra strategy (particularly for vertical photos) when attaching the device to the world around you, but with a little work, I've always managed to set up the photo I desired. Overall the Gorilla Pod is light and fantastic for travel. It fits easily in my suitcase or even back pack, but can also be attached to the outside of carry on luggage for travel. It is simple to set up, adjust, and use. Moreso, once the mounting piece for the ballhead is attached to the camera, the camera can easily be attached and removed from the Gorilla Pod, allowing for quick use in handheld shots between mounted photography or for packing up and resetting up. The Gorilla Pod does everything I need it to and more. Having used the Gorilla Pod, I don't know how I ever lived without it.

Lowepro Fastpack 350 Camera Backpack " Great DSLR backpack " 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Contest winner

Pros: Durable,Lightweight,Comfortable Strap,Good Protection,"Looks good","Lot of room"

Best Uses : Travel

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: This has been a great backpack. I ordered this just before a 20 days trip across 6 cities. I had to carry my camera, 2 additional lenses and the laptop. I wanted to travel light and hence I just had one carry-on and a backpack. I was surprised how much the upper compartment of the backpack would fit on days when I was out taking pictures all day long. On days you do not want to carry the camera you can remove all the dividers and use it as a laptop backpack with 2 compartments. The padding on this is excellent and the material looks durable. I have a D7K with the 18-105 and 2 additional lenses. The whole things gets a little heavy but the padding alongwith the waist & chest straps help distribute the weight evenly. I was caught in the rain for a few mins and the water did not get to the equipment. Great backpack for travelling.

Service:   Fast and on-time delivery.

Contest winner

Fit: Feels true to size

Pros: Comfortable,Stylish,Durable,"Reversible"

Best Uses : Casual Wear

Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: Fishpond makes quality products and this belt definitely fits that bill. I use it for casual wear with jeans, shorts, and slacks. Most belt loops will accept this 1 1/4 inch belt width. If you do not mind the high quality buckle being opposite it's natural male position then you can reverse this belt from the tan to the green logo side ergo 2 colored fishpond logo belts in one. Just remove the white description tag to make it reversible. I recommend you try the Fishpond belt selection if you are in the market for a high qualtiy web style belt. Catch and Release fish.

Service: Avidmax delivered as promised. Based on this I will not hesitate to do business with them in the future.

Best Uses : Daily Usage,Transporting Gear,Protecting Gear

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: This is a great bag for me. It has the depth to allow access for a Nikon D300 with power drive with mounted moderate zoom lens, a pair of cactus units, a flash and one other lens. The access is good through the zipper top for most items but if your dslr has a power drive mounted the top access won't allow it. I tried the Lowepro 400AW bag but it was just too big and bulky. This one is the right one.

Rio MainStream Type 6 Fly Line "Great line without breaking the bank" 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Pros: Durable,Easy To Maintain,"Great Price","Easy casting","Strips nicely"

Best Uses : Fresh Water

Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: I do a lot of still water fishing and this line gets down to where the big boys are, and fast! It glides easily through the guides and doesnt bunch up alowing smooth long casts and at a sinking rate of about 1 foot every 2 seconds you can easily and consistantly rely on your count to get the depth you want. The best part of the Mainstream line is its price point, this is the kind of performance I'd expect from a line double the price. Rio's mainstream full sinking is my new favorite line and they have a new loyal customer with me.

Lowepro Flipside 300 " Great Product " 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Pros: Adjustable Harness,Lightweight,Strong Construction,Comfortable,Roomy,"Durable","Tripod holder","Well Padded","Secure","Configurable"

Cons: Hard To Access Equipment

Best Uses : Storing Gear,Transporting Gear,Protecting Gear

Describe Yourself: Casual Photographer

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: I was looking for a great backpack style camera case for hiking, as well as every day carrying. The chest strap and waist strap are easy to adjust and very comfortable. When I received the camera case, I was very pleased. I was able to fit my camera with both my battery pack and my 28mm-135mm lens connected to the camera. I was also able to fit my 50mm lens and a 75mm-300mm lens in the bag. I have extra hoods, filters, and battery charges the had plenty of room in the bag. It comes with an extra storage compartment in the main storage area for small, loose things that you would not want floating around in your bag. The only consern I had was getting to my gear. The opening faces towards your back, which does not make easy access on the go, but it does make for better security when in a public area. I did know this before I received the bag, so it was not a shock to me. After a few time getting your camera out, it becomes second nature.

Service: I was very pleased with the delivery. It came earlier than I expected it to, and there was no damage to the bag.

Pros: Durable,Easy To Maintain,Easy To Use,Functional

Best Uses :Fresh Water,Salt Water,"Rivers"

Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: Bought product for use in big rivers fishing for Salmon and trout. Casts easily, mendable, and gets the fly down quickly without affecting rod action. Easily loads rod for quicker casting with less false casts. Useful on lakes and ponds when depth is needed or when wind conditions create surf. Salt water applications are numerous as the line puts the fly under the surf yet allows for control and contact with the streamer.

So far since I've had it I test fit to make sure my D700 w/grip fits {it does BTW}, & that was the only time I've hade it in there. I have put every but my camera in it. It doesn't look like it can hold much but onec you start packing things into it you will be amazed at what you can put into it. I've been able to get 2 mini TT5's, a mini TT1, an AC3 zone controler, a SB800, a rather large mini tripod, extra batteries both AA & a camera battery, & a 50mm 1.8 & some fruit bars. I have also used it just to hold extra lenses like a Sigma 14mm ultra wide, a Nikon 50mm 1.8, & a Tamron 28-75 2.8. Utility is the name of the game for this bag. It's not as wide as the older one {S&F utility case which you can't get anymore}& doesn't have as many pockets or dividers but it works great for being able to take a lot of stuff with you. Now I need to get a second one to use for the camera body. I gave four stars because the outside zipper pocket is worthless. I got a few buisness cards & a camera body cap in there and it's a real tight fit. Otherwise the bags is great. The slip lock system holds all that stuff tightly & I've never worried about it falling off.

Service: I've almost all of my Lowepro bags from Avidmax. The ebay store, packing, shipping, tracking, pricing, everything have been top notch. Great people to work with & will continue to buy from.

Redington Blackfoot Fly Fishing Vest   "Excellent Fishing Vest " 5 Out Of 5 Stars

Pros: Breathable,Durable,Lightweight,Lots of Storage

Best Uses : Fly Fishing,Freshwater Fishing

Sizing: Feels true to size

Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: This is my first fishing vest, but I researched online, tried out different friends' vests, and thoroughly considered what I wanted out of a fishing vest. This is it: lots of storage options; lightweight, but durable; a storage pouch on back for a raincoat or other items; and no mesh to get caught on things, fray, etc.

Comments: I was looking for a camera bag that didn't look like a camera bag. I've had Lowepro bags before and knew the quality. This bag is big enough for me to carry my Nikon D5100 with the 18-270 lens attached, plus personal items. Love, love, love this bag.

Comments: The old saying is "If it works, don't fix it." This is way this is my third Lowepro camera bag. What is nice is Lowepro produces three sizes to fit your camera needs. I purchased the middle size Pro 70 AW because it also fits in my backpack when I travel. You can't go wrong with a Lowepro camera bag. This is great for snowboarding or snowshoeing because of the quick toploader. There is nothing worst than having a quick shot and you have to find the zipper. Great Job LowePro....!

I absolutely love it

Redington Crosswater Fly Fishing Wader " Great durable waders!!!

Pros: Tough Material,Easy To Take On And Off,Dries Quickly

Best Uses : Cold Water,Freshwater Fishing,Fly Fishing

Sizing: Feels true to size

Describe Yourself: Beginner

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: For those beginning fly fisherpeople out there, these waders are great! I have used neoprene socks, hip waders and chest waders and these are a great buy. I have learned from the best guides but feel buying the most expensive gear is not yet necessary. These waders have been great so far. I have taken them out 5 days in freezing water and they are durable, comfortable, simple and functional. They do the job well and as far as I am concerned are just as great as a $400 pair of waders. I am a 6' tall woman and ordered a men's medium and they fit great.

Comments: I use this pack when wade fishing for trout- It is much more comfortable and accessible than a vest and it is on and off in a snap- Keeps everything at my fingertips instead of fumbling through a 12 pocket vest- And with 2 water bottle holders you can carry everything you need to be in the creek a full day. My fishing buddies are looking to ditch the vest and pick up these packs now!

Cons: Heavy

Best Uses: Protecting Gear,Transporting Gear

Describe Yourself: Semi-pro Photographer

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: This is the best bag I have found to not only protect my equipment but to also carry it in. I teach photography and I am able to carry everything I need to class in this one bag. I get two DSLR camera bodies, a 80-200 f2.8 lens mounted on one of the bodies plus 4 other lens along with a sb900 flash unit in this bag, not to mention several filters. Everything is secure and in place when I get ready to use it. I did mark it as heavy but that is because of all the equipment that I carry.

Lowepro Exchange Messenger

Pros: Good Protection,Compact,Lightweight,Durable,Comfortable Strap,"Convenient to use","Lots of divided room","Stylish"

Cons: "A bit saggy"

Best Uses: Travel,Daily Transport,"Organized carry-all"

Describe Yourself: Pro Photographer

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: I have now used this daily for 2 months and it has become my all time favorite bag for carrying everything I need for back and forth to the studio and out and about essentials as well. This bag holds a LOT of stuff and I use it to carry a little digital Canon S95 for spontaneous grab shots, wallet, appointment calendar, pens, cell phone, e-cig supplies, business cards, cheater reading glasses, and even a small stainless coffee thermos. Using the two dividers it comes with, I have the main bag divided in 3 sections. One holds thermos, center holds camera which is in another little Lowepro Rezo 50 with extra batts/memory cards. The 3rd section is for a variety of smaller accessories i.e. pocket calendar, wallet. Then there are the 3 additional pockets on the front (one even zippered) that make it so easy to have instant access to a variety of small things without digging in the main compartment. This is very handy for cellphone, glasses, pens, business cards, e-cig. While this is the usual Lowepro durable quality, there is one issue that I have solved AND could have been addressed in the original functional design of this messenger bag...it is too bottom saggy. Left as it was originally designed meant that everyting just kind of lumped together at the bottom of the main compartments even with the dividers. I easily solved this by taking a divider from another bag, it already had velcro along the full length of each side, and put it in the bottom of my center division with it's velcro attached to the strips already inside the messanger bag. This has perfectly provided just enough firmness that the bag sits nicely, holds it's shape, keeps everything well protected, and maintains the super lightweight requirement for a bag I carry daily. This bag is now fully functional for me, looks great, carries a lot of stuff, can carry lots more as needed from time to time, AND is very comfortable to wear for hours. I even tossed my regular Canon in my center divided space for a special just-in-case event and it was fine. I like having a bag that is versatile, doesn't cry out "I'm a pro photog", and is durable and comfortable. This bag does it for me.

Best Uses: Transporting Gear,Storing Gear,Protecting Gear

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments: When not in use, this bag stores my camera. When in use, this bag easily carries my camera with a moderate zoom lens attached. There is plenty of room! Under the camera I have my charger and extra battery, then some foam on which my camera rests. In the front pocket I have the cables and an extra lens filter. The last bag I had needed to be packed like a parachute in order to fit the camera and strap. No more! This bag has room to spare; I can just drop my camera in and be gone. It is stylish, strong and well padded. I am very satisfied!

Best Uses: "Holds extra gear", "Support"

Sizing: Feels true to size

Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher

Comments: I have had back surgery and spending a full day on the water can be tough with no support. This belt definitely helps with supporting my back. I do wish it was a few inches wider, but overall very helpful. The "D" rings are great for holding extra gear such as a clip on water bottle and dry sack for my camera. I also clip on my wading staff in the back which keeps it handy and out of the way. Great belt.

Here is his review on the Blue Crane Nikon D700 Training DVD: 4 out of 5 Rating & A very helpful product but...keep your manual

Pros: Easy To Understand,Informative,Broad Range Of Information

Describe Yourself: Intermediate

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

A very good product/resource but you still may need on occasion to refer to the manual. The overall quality is excellent, presentation clear, and love the feature where we are encouraged to stop and "try it out for ourselves." I would recommend this series but don't throw the manual away. No way a DVD can cover 348 pages of detailed information.

Here is his review on the Lowepro Slingshot 202: 5 out of 5 Rating & Just Right

http://www.avidmaxoutfitters.com/p-2184-lowepro-slingshot-202-aw.aspx

Pros: Strong Construction,Easily Accessible Equipment,Comfortable,Lightweight,Well Padded

Best Uses: Protecting Gear,Daily Usage,Transporting Gear

Describe Yourself: Photo Enthusiast

Was this a gift?: No

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have a Nikon D200 with a 18-200 zoom lens. I decided to purchase a new Nikon 35MM f1.8 and a 10-24 wide angle zoom. My old Lowepro TLZ case has held up well and did the job I purchased it for. I was looking for a new case that would hold my camera, 2 additional lens, SB600 flash, misc filters, cleaning kit and a monopod. It had to be easy to use, fairly light and just the right size. The Slingshot 202 AW does it all! I find it easy to use and comfortable. The main section is well padded and large enough to hold my gear. The top section holds my point and shoot camera, cleaning kit and filters. There is still room for a cell phone, wallet etc. The front zipped compartment holds the camera owner's manual, spare batteries and quick mount for the monopod. Best of all AvidMax had a great price and I received the bag in three days. Their service was excellent. I would recommend them. I would purchase from AvidMax again.
